After reading the first half of the book “Laura Dean Keeps breaking up with me ” by Mariko Tamake The most important panel in the story is on page 89.In this panel we see a lot of important things, we see the inside of Freddys room.Particulary her floor and how it is books and everything scattered around on the floor.There is also a very important text box on this page that says “Every once in a while I get this thought, like a thread I can feel on my skin.The thought is that I’m just willing what I’m feeling to be true.I’m willing myself to believe that this is real” First the page shows the nature of Freddy and Laura’s relationship.Throughout the entire book we see a cycle of Laura breaking up with Freddy,only to come back into her life and repeatedly apologize .This pattern of breaking up and then making up is a classic example of a toxic relationship, and it’s clear that Freddy is caught in a vicious cycle that she can’t escape. She is clearly overwhelmed and distressed, as evidenced by the messy state that her room is in. Also the fact that she was by herself in the room shows that she felt somewhat alone even though she was in a relationship with Laura Dean, and how Freddy was still lonely and unfilled showing how toxic the relationship truly was.It shows how she deeply cares for Laura and is willing to forgive heer and be with her even when it’s not in her best
