Leadership consists of character rather than technique. It requires moral effort rather than skill. A true leader is confident in themselves and bold enough to stand up for what is right but humble enough to recognize their flaws and try to better themselves as a leader. In the story, Antigone by Sophocles, King Creon imposes a decree that no one is allowed to bury a man named Polyneices because he feels he was not loyal and should suffer with an inhumane death. However, Antigone disagrees with the King’s decisions and buries her brother, Polyneices, anyway. The decisions of Antigone lead to many conflicts.
