Imagination is an idea or concept which is constantly influenced by personal experiences and developmental growth. When analyzing fact and imagination, let it be noted that fact is an unchangeable piece of evidence, whereas imagination can have a vast majority of endless possibilities. Many talented minds who have based their careers on fact have stressed the importance of imagination and its ability to expand the mind. The quote “The world is but a canvas to the imagination”(Henry David Thoreau) explains that imagery is a useful tool when the world feels bland and ordinary. The education system is based on facts, but one cannot teach or be taught the value of forming different ideas and using creativity.
