Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter, inventor, mathematician, and writer in the Renaissance. He became very popular as his work spread across the world. Some of his most popular work is the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Vitruvian Man, Lady with an Ermine, and Self-portrait. With his work growing in popularity his artwork was looked as a model. With his famous painting, the Mona Lisa, there is a foggy background.
Leonardo da Vinci was a brilliant man. Even though he did do some very odd things, he was, overall, a genius. He was born on April 15, 1452, A.D and lived in Italy. His mother died when he was young, so he grew up with his father, seventeen half-siblings, and four stepmothers. He was homeschooled, and, once, his art teacher asked him to draw a picture of an angel.
He made many achievements that had changed history. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the greatest masters to have ever lived in the renaissance. He had talented gifts that got improved by good education. That there are a couple of movies based off of his theories and inventions and a television show about his life, beyond that he was just a Renaissance Master. Some of the things I did learn were that his father was an attorney and his mother a peasant they were never married and he had 17 half-siblings. He was raised by his uncle who had an appreciation of nature, some think this is where he picked up his connection to science and nature.

I first heard of him back in middle school when we were shown a huge beautiful wooden portrait of “The Last Supper”, and beyond that, I’ve seen him as one of the most famous and influential artists of all time.
