Regardless of all the restorations, this piece would inspire various artists due to its perspective and presentation. As a whole Leonardo has made a turn for art history directing it to a new and a more realistic path.

The last supper
Painted by Leonardo da Vinci from 1494 to 1498 in Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. This painting contains mixed techniques and measures at 460cmx 880cm.
Set in the monk’s dining hall are Christ and the apostles seated along a table sharing a religious meal. Figures seem larger than life size suggesting nobility.
Within the scene Christ announces he will be betrayed by one of his disciples resulting in them reacting with questioning and agitation.
Judas’s crime warns others not to fail the monastic community and its rules as it leads to vast consequences.
