Season can explain a lot about the story such as the time of the year as well as keep track of the timeline but, the season can also set the tone of the story. It is known that certain seasons can be related to a mood and most authors use this to their advantage. Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein includes many seasons that express Victor Frankenstein's lack of concern for the time while he is invested in his work. Before Victors started he earned to seek out the cause for nature and took a liking to the seasons. “Curiosity, earnest research to learn the hidden laws of nature, gladness akin to rapture, as they were unfolded to me, are among the earliest sensations I can remember.”
