Hook: “NBA Youngboy has been nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance” Kentrell Desean Gaulden, professionally known as Youngboy Never Broke Again(NBA) is an American rapper born in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born on October 20, 1999. Growing up, NBA Youngboy always stayed in trouble, but in ninth grade, he dropped out of high school to focus on his music career. His debut album “Until Death Call My Name” reached top ten on the Billboard 200, giving him popularity. In this Argumentative Essay, I’m going to explain why NBA Youngboy is better than Lil Baby. This explains why Youngoy is the better rapper in this comparison because he doesn’t need another artist to make a hit. On the other hand, also according to billboard.com, out of Lil Baby’s 133 hit songs, more than half of his songs are a feature or with another artist. This shows that Lil Baby needs another artist to make a hit. My second reason on why NBA Youngboy is a better rapper than Lil Baby is because he has more solo platinum singles/albums than Lil Baby. As I stated before, what this means is 2 Youngboy has more solo platinum singles/albums than Lil Baby. According to riaa.com Youngboy has 46 platinum singles/albums and out of those platinum singles/albums, less than 15 of them are with another artist. Again, as I stated before, this supports the fact that Youngboy doesn’t need another artist to be successful. Also according to riaa.com, out of Lil Baby’s 61 platinum albums/singles, more than half of them are with another artist or a feature. This also concludes the fact that Lil baby needs another artist to be successful.
