With the exception of Anse, the end of As I Lay Dying leaves all of the Bundrens worse for wear. Darl has been exiled because he is believed to be insane. Similarly, the skin has to be removed from Cash’s leg, Jewel has lost his horse and his last connection to the family, Vardaman is more confused than ever, and Dewey Dell remains pregnant. Despite all of this, Anse’s condition is better than it has ever been. He has purchased teeth, has visited a barbershop, and has come out of all of this with a new wife.

It was released in June of 2004 and became a number one hit on the billboard chart in its first weeks. It also was the 2004 Grammy Award winner for Best Country Song. The song tells about a man who finds out that he doesn 't have long to live, due to an illness. After finding out he decides to do all the things he wanted to do in life and become a better person.
Andre Bleikasten asserts the setting of the novel As I lay Dying is an integral force on the same standing of the characters and constitutes more than an inactive scenery for them to perform their action. People lose their foundations and meld into the setting, as the setting sprouts into animated existence and places within the movement. As a result, boundaries between the setting and man are fluid, and the distinction between them blurs. Bleikasten contends the fable’s world is trapped in a continuous pendulum between activity and stagnation. Physical animation takes place within the animated existences of the novel, and the setting.
An Analysis of “Death and the Turtle” In “Death and the Turtle” May Sarton examines many aspects of death. At first glance her three stanza and twenty four line poem seems to remain constant by maintaining a stringent rhyme scheme and steady iambic pentameter. However, upon further examination there are three major shifts that contribute significantly to the meaning of the poem. As the poem progresses there are shifts in the scale, emotion, and inevitability of death.

This song represents rural life in a very similar way to which I see it (i.e., natural scenery, first name basis relationships, privacy, etc). Although many people seek a new life with more opportunities in the big city, there are still people that love the simple, quiet, small-town life. This artist sings about the little things that he appreciates in his life. There are many things that seem insignificant to by passers, when in reality, those are the important things that make rural life so special.
There are many poems that discuss the relationship between a poet and their parents. The poets Andrew Hudgins and Dylan Thomas were in their late 30s when they wrote poems about their fathers. Thomas ' father was ill during the time that he wrote the poem. It is unknown if Hudgin 's father was ill during writing of his poem (Kirszner & Mandell 890-891). Andrew Hudgin 's poem, “Elegy for My Father, Who is Not Dead,” and Dylan Thomas ' poem, “Do not go gentle into that good night,” explore their feelings of their fathers ' imminent deaths.

Joy Harjo’s poem “Perhaps the World Ends Here” implants an impression of the world as a kitchen table: “The world begins at a kitchen table. No matter what, we must eat to live.” (1). As I interpreted the poem, I perceived it as a brief analysis of life. Harjo elaborates life as one protracted feast, and our life ends when we eat the concluding bite of our meal: “Perhaps the world will end at the kitchen table, while we are laughing and crying, eating of the last sweet bite.”
This song is about someone who went through a break up and is doing much better without her. The speaker is talking about the antagonist, his ex-girlfriend.
