Susan G. Komen (SGK) is one of the most influential non-profit organizations in terms of its effort in championing their cause. We have been given the task to help rebuild their image, and offer our recommendations on how to regain public trust and support. After the defunding of Planned Parenthood (PP) and its mismanagement of dissemination of information and response, the question that strikes us was why Planned Parenthood responded to the news and actions of SGK negatively. Despite the fact that it is true, that PP was under federal investigation for mismanagement of funds. Based on the knowledge we gain from analyzing scholarly article, video recommendations and records of communication between SGK, PP and the public, our group propose
The Choice of Life or Death Choosing between life or death is not a decision that you want to make. Of course pretty much everyone is going to choose life over death, but is some cases you don’t have that choice. In the article “Organ Sales Will Save Lives”, written by the author Joanna MacKay, she presents an argument about whether or not the sale of organs should be legalized. She builds her credibility by giving numerous facts, examples, and statistics on the argument. People die everyday waiting and hoping to get the call about finding a match for a kidney so that they can have a kidney transplant done.
Scrooge’s Outlook on Charity for the Less Fortunate In the book A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, Scrooge’s look on charity for the poor is that he has his own business and that he should not get into other people 's business, meaning that he thinks that the city would be better off without all of the poor people, and that all the less fortunate people can either work at union house or live in debtors prison. First when the men come into shop and ask for money to give to the poverty-stricken. Scrooge responds by saying “ ‘Are there no prisons?’

People in authority tend to disregard those who and that which does not benefit them, since the poor did not seem to benefit anybody, people in authority found them useless. (documents 2,3,4) Emperor Charles V had said in an imperial decree for the Netherlands in 1531, that the poor should be helped enough to have the power to survive on their own and not constantly giving them alms (Doc 2). “Many errors and abuses will result, for they will fall into idleness” (Doc 2) Charles V had stated that those who constantly beg for food or money take advantage of the kindness of the European population which will cause them to maintain that lifestyle of only begging for someone to help. Since Emperor Charles V is someone who has to give orders and have

Have you considered donating your vehicle to charity to support veterans? When a guy walks up to you with a sign claiming that he is a disabled veteran, you do not simply offer him the keys to your car. While it would make for an amusing story, there are better, tax-deductible ways to donate your car to charitable organizations that serve our nation 's veterans, such as the Purple Heart Car Donation program. Purple Heart Car Donation has everything to do with aiding war veterans who have suffered injuries as a result of their service. In some cases, the disabilities they have suffered are relatively minor, however in other cases, the wounds they have are so severe, they can not hold down a regular job, and have to rely on government help from the Veterans Administration.
Bridges out of Poverty provided valuable insight on how to better understand the constructs of poverty, as well as offering strategies for how to help those living in poverty transition to middle class. The book was designed to help readers recognize and address issues contributing to poverty. There are many different hidden rules that exist within each socioeconomic class. Using the resources available in this book can help those living in poverty gain insight on what is trapping them in the poverty cycle. In addition, it can help those of us who are already living within the middle-class identify the reoccurring patterns of poverty and what we can do to assist in the development from poverty to middle-class.

The Courage to Care award is an honorary award by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) given to people who have rescued Jews during the Holocaust. Established in 1987, it was renamed in 2011 in honor of Jan Karski, a Polish diplomat who was well deserved of the award. My thoughts about this award are, just the thought of being able to save thousands of Jews and have a story to tell and then years later sharing your heroic story to the world and receiving an award is one amazing thing that can happen. For example, I am struck by the story of a young girl by the name of Irene Gut Opdyke who, as a teenager, saved 16 Polish Jews. I mean it’s hard being a teenager now but imagine it back then, and she saved lives!
Now we will move on to discuss each scenario in detail to determine which member has the respective works copyright, starting with the Communart’s manifesto, entitled ‘Manifesto of the Desperate: Finding the Good Life in a Ruthless World’. The members involved in the project of the manifesto are Al, Bill, Cal and Dina. Seeing as their written manifesto is in the process of a possible publishing deal, they each would like to have claim of copyright over the manifesto. The manifesto will be a literary work due to the nature of it being recorded in writing and the 15 core rules has been clearly written out for reading. This sort of work need not to have great quality but as long as it has been expressed in writing, copyright should be attained.
College is the best time of your life! I was so nerves heading into college as a freshman! It seemed so unreal going onto a campus so large and not being the big senior on campus. One of the most challenging in thing was keeping up the all the deadlines for school; applying, picking classes, applying for finial aid and picking out dooms to stay in. I would like to explain the process for applying for finial aide.
