Theme Essay The topic that I chose is the theme. The theme of a story is extremely important, because it’s telling you a little about the characters and how they act. In A Long Walk to Water the theme is perseverance and the characters represents perseverance perfection. The character represents perseverance, because they will be determined to do anything to be able to achieve success. A theme tells about the types of situations that occur in the story and how it will end. “Salva wiped eyes with the back of his hand.He could see the bushes;they did not look too far away.Uncle reached into his bag.He took out a tamarind and handed it to Salva.” This quote tells you that Salva was determined to achieve his goal to walk to the bushes. It was difficult for Salva, but he had to go through an entire desert. He knew that he had to your he would have achieve nothing.
