One of my favorite books is called Looking For Alaska. This award winning book was written by the famous author John Green. This book is about a boy named Miles (Pudge) who is tired of his uneventful, boring life. He went from living in a small town to moving to a prestigious boarding school, where there his life turns into a crazy exciting adventure. Pudge has a peculiar interest with finding and memorizing historical figures last words. From the beginning he seeks a “Great Perhaps” (Francois Rabelais, Poet) a.k.a the true meaning of life and what it means to live it to the fullest. There he meets this mysterious girl named Alaska. She teaches him about the wonders of life and to appreciate everything that happens to you. This has taught me to look at life with an open eye and embrace every step I take on my journey. To walk on this earth with curiosity every time I turn a corner and to not hold myself back from my dreams and desires but to leap on the moving train we call life. The ones I follow are more personalized to me and how I want to be as a person. I strive to embrace life not just the good but also the bad. I want to have experiences all it has to offer and I strive to get through it all with grace and positivity. This book has only influenced my passion to live a fulfilled life to a greater degree. I believe that you need to make your life count and not sit back and watch it fly past you. Make as many memories as you can while you have the opportunity. Life is a gift that some take for granted but I strive to work hard to achieve greatness so that I can give back and help others grow in their journey of a fulfilled
