In the vignette, “Red Clowns,” Sandra Cisneros uses stylistic elements like First person point of view and repetition to create a tragic effect. One example that shows the author using the element of first person point of view to develop tragedy is, “ I waited so long. I waited by the red clowns, just like you said... you never came for me. ”(Pages 99 and 100) We can tell his quote is in first person point of view because it uses words like “I” and “me”, so it shows the reader what the main character is feeling and thinking, and the reader cannot see the angles of what is going on in the scene.
She like ghost movies the most which I didn’t find scary. But then she found a movie called Jeapers Creepers. That's what I thought was scary. I had and still have three major fears. And they are scarecrows, empty farms, and overgrown fields of crops.
There’s a town called Quahog and there have been reports of clown kidnappings. So the mayor (the main character) gets involved. Some weeks later the mayor goes home baffled after not being able to figure out the situation. One night he hears a baby crying in the basement, so he goes downstairs and the crying gets louder. He puts his ear to the wall and knows it 's in there.
The fear of monsters is shown in Mercer Mayer’s children’s book, There Are Monsters Everywhere. The book is narrated by an unknown boy that believes that when his parents are not around, the monsters come out from hiding in his house. Mayer does a good job demonstrating how scared the boy is through not only the text, but the illustrations as well. The boy ends up taking
Idol was probably the most horrifying thing, because I had never been away from my hometown like that before. I was in L.A., of all places, by myself, putting myself out there, which is a scary thing for anybody to do. My first plane
"Just fine," Selene replies, but the Nain Rouge isn 't paying attention to her, her focus immediately going to Sauron as soon as his dark nature is brought out. The darkness around her seems to point at him, slowly focusing energy around him. The okinta everyone has starts to slowly build in its luminescence, and especially is, as raw and unchecked it is in him from the seemingly endless space it has had to grow and accumulate within him. The Nain Rouge lets out a witchy cackle. "Oh, my dear, dear, dear poor Sellina.
Once we got into the maze, there was a crazy nurse waiting for us and inviting us to go into the maze. Eventually , we tried to turn back around but they wouldn’t let us. The night quickly transformed from one of fun to an exciting frightening event. Transformation obviously create fear. This can be seen in the following three stories as well.
Listen, this isn’t just some little story I’m presenting for a grade, it’s a warning. This is to alert you and others of what ill fates await them if they’re not careful. Pray you’re not one so easily put to ease, because these devils strike when you’re most vulnerable. The story I’m about to present is one where I, Todd Rexroth, was another of its victims. Luckily, I survived and am here to pass on this tale.
Known as one of the great horror monsters of all time; Pennywise the Clown has scared audiences for nearly three decades, and will continue to do so with this new
The happily-bland day started of with people rushing around like a colony of ants working in chaotic harmony, each doing their own separate task. Busses were running their routes and taxis the same. Always in motion following a perfect routine. All of that would end with a flying crash like cymbals colliding in the air before ending on the floor with a never ending ring. “That was my first day back to work” stated Pam.
In a novel full of remarkable characters, Mildred Montag lies on the other end of the spectrum. Mildred, Guy’s artificial, hollow wife, reminds the reader how the common citizen of society lives life and interacts with others. With her hardest decision in her shallow void of a life being deciding what show to watch on her 3-wall television, Mildred sees her life as perfect and won’t have her opinion rattled by anyone or even herself. She refuses to recognize the emotions locked away under her fragile, bleached skin. Mildred Montag is the epitome of a mediocre citizen who sees her life as the best it can possibly be due to lack of ambition, and this character is what my representation encaptures.
Coulrophobia is defined as the extreme or irrational fear of clowns. Many individuals today, especially teens and young adults who were young during the time of this incident, can likely admit to having this fear during the Clown Panic of 2016. It was a time where individuals dressed like killer clowns were reported to be chasing children throughout their neighborhood, in an attempt to stir fear and chaos. This panic grew rapidly across the United States and some areas of the United Kingdom after reports were shared with the public. The public brought this issue to a whole new level which consequently pleased the clowns, making them continue their efforts.
In the end, a petrified woman home alone, a ravenous pack of deranged blood-thirsty clowns and an enigmatic
When I was 12 years old, my mom took my friends and I to the Haunted Hayride. Unfortunately, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. We got onto the hayride and there was a massive horse with a boy riding it who was headless and mean following us for about 2 minutes. For being in Middle School, I was pretty freaked out when we got off the trailer to walk through a corn maze , when then came a guy wearing a mask with a chainsaw chasing us out!!!! It was an exciting and horrid night for my friends and I.
Yet it really was because it affected how the rest of my day would
