¨Inside each of us, there is a seed of both good and evil. Itś a constant struggle as to which one will win. And one cannot exist without the other (Eric Burdon).¨ It is often argued that there are people that only have evil in them and are not willing to change. In the book, ¨Lord of the Flies by William Golding¨, there is a group of boys that are stranded on a inhabited island. They start to discover a couple new things while theyŕe on the island. One thing that they observed was a creature that they created using a figment of their imagination called ẗhe beast¨. This is how Golding portrayed ëvil¨ in this book. The human nature does not normally act the same once they have been used to one environment with different people. In this case, the boys thought that the beast was a real creature that was out to get them. Simon didn’t fear the beast as much as the other boys did. I believe that the true leader should have been Simon. He didn’t fear as much as the others. This is one way for Eric Burdon to propose his idea of evil in this book but i believe that he tried to portray this,because he tried to cause a plot twist in the book.
