Sorrow is an inevitable feeling that we all experience at least once in our lives. There is no certain way to grieve, but there are many ways to process it. Some people tend to preoccupy themselves, some just try to persevere through day by day, while others feel it is more helpful to talk through it and embrace their stories. Sorrow is a tricky feeling to overcome. In my experience the best way to beat it is to keep our minds distracted. If we throw ourselves into other things, then we would be too busy to sit around and grieve. It is sad to say that most of us know the feeling way too well and the impact it takes on us. Within the last two years, I have managed to lose about 8 family members. It has ranged anywhere from my uncle to my cousins to even my baby siblings. Two years ago, I lost 4 family members from a robbery in their home. My Aunt and Uncle were sleeping in their bed when they heard people break in. They hid their kids in the closet before calling 911 and everyone ended up getting beaten to death. This canvas is covered with messy colorful splatters that gives it a boost of sudden energy. It looks almost as if he started off painting vibrant colors and then angrily decided to splash darker colors to cover it. The painting also portrays dripping lines that help to not only create a direction, but also gives the feeling of sorrow. The splotches have paint dripping continuously towards the bottom that almost resembles tear drops. Beginning at the top, it is clustered and messy and as our eyes follow the drips of the paint towards the bottom, the canvas is more freely open and empty. It is just like how we typically process sorrow. At the beginning there is so much running through our heads, but as we push through and go on with our lives it begins to clear
