The story resumes as Romeo walks into the tomb that Juliet’s body’s final resting place, at least that is what Romeo thought. He was full of dread as he made his way to his wife’s body, little did he know that she was not really dead. He was sure that he did not want to live a life without his love, Juliet. Romeo had stopped beforehand to get poison, he was unsure, but he was sure of one thing, Juliet was the one he was meant to be with and now that she was gone he had lost his will to live. Romeo had been full of sorrow and he could not imagine living the rest of his life like this.
Thus with a kiss I die” (Act 5, Scene 3, Lines 119-120). Romeo knows that the poison will kill him, and yet he still drinks it. His choice to take his own life, although he made it out of grief for his dead love, was still his own rash and poorly made decision.
In the morning, the nurse discovers her and pronounces her dead. Of all the things the Friar has done so far, giving Juliet the poison is the worst of his actions. As the Friar’s plan goes, Romeo did not receive the letter from the servant describing the situation of how Juliet is not dead, only sleeping. Romeo then kills himself when he sees his ‘dead’ wife, and when Juliet rises only to see her dead husband, she ends her life with a
The Jury of Romeo and Juliet Of all the characters whose actions lead to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, Tybalt and Friar Lawrence are most guilty because they trigger the chain of events that leads to the suicides of both Romeo and Juliet. Although Tybalt is most to blame, the friar is also at fault here. Both these characters in the play have an important role in ending the love and lives of the two children from both families. If not for Tybalt’s hate of peace and his murder of Mercutio, he would not have gotten into the fight that caused the banishment of Romeo.
The Irresponsible Deaths of Romeo and Juliet There is always that one person that does not listen to anyone no matter if they are given good or bad advice. That one person always ends up on the wrong path. That is the same story as “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”, by William Shakespeare. Who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Is it Friar Laurence, Tybalt, or even Romeo himself?
(act 4 scene 4 # 2-29 ) Romeo went to her tomb found her dead and killed himself because he thought that his love had died. Seconds after Juliet had awoken and found her love dead next to her. She couldn’t go on without Romeo so she to killed
After he heard this he bought some poison from a poor pharmacist and killed himself in Juliet’s grave tomb. When Juliet woke up and found Romeo dead, she took his dagger and killed herself. This happened in act 1-2.
/ Thy drugs are quick. Thus, with a kiss I die” (5.3.578). Despite what Romeo thought before he dies, Juliet is still alive and after awakening to see Romeo lying dead in the tomb, the same thoughts raced through Juliet’s head. She quickly attempts to commit suicide with the hope of
In act 5, Romeo killed Paris before heading into the tomb where Juliet was feigning dead. Romeo says “Here's to my love! (drinks the poison) 0 true apothecary, / Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die,” (5.3.119-120) before ending his life in front of the still living Juliet.
“... violent delights have violent ends” (II. vi. 11). In the well-known play, Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare there are many fatal deaths. The most intriguing, are the suicides of Romeo and Juliet. Many say the culprits who caused their deaths can be argued. But based on textual evidences, Lord and Lady Capulet are responsible for the suicides of Romeo and Juliet because of their family feud, forcing Juliet to marry Paris, and their lack of parenting.
Do humans have free will? Or, is our every action decided on by other people? In reality, almost every decision we make with our own individual conscious. The play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, is about two lovers, Romeo and Juliet, from rival families whose love caused unfortunate consequences for everyone around them. Romeo and Juliet were tragic heroes whose deaths are caused by their own faults and inability to make decisions without minor characters telling them what to do.
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet completed by William Shakespeare has a solid theme. Love is the play’s most important and dominant theme especially the intense passion that shows up between Romeo and Juliet. The secondary character I chose was the Nurse. Without the Nurse’s approval, Juliet wouldn’t have gone through marrying Romeo. Another theme of this play is fate because the two families are so against each other but Romeo and Juliet find a way to come together.
Romeo is infatuated because of his passionate and impulsive actions. His decisions to act irrationally brought him harm and later, caused his death. He relies on his passion rather than his common sense to make his decisions. If only he thought about the consequences, he would still be alive. When Romeo met Juliet at the Capulet party, he instantly fell in love with her.
In my opinion I think that the feud between the two main families, the Capulets and the Montagues, is the most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. The conflict between these two families is so distasteful that it causes Romeo and Juliet even more of a struggle as they try to find and keep their love. This conflict between the Capulets and the Montagues has been going on for a very long time and neither side is willing to make up for whatever may have happened in the past. Because of this a strong dislike is portrayed when someone sees a person from the opposite side. If the family feud wouldn’t have existed Romeo and Juliet would not have any large reason to hide their relationship.
The ones to blame for the death of Juliet and her Romeo The tragic deaths of the two star-crossed lovers was brought forth by others than just themselves. Romeo and Juliet were madly in love even for the short time they were alive and in the presence of one another. Their fate was a tragic one ,but this tragedy was caused by more than the two lovers.
