If you think you have a interesting life, think again, I highly doubt you’ve been in the olympics, stranded in the middle of the ocean with no food, and went through a POW camp with a insane war criminal, your life's not so bad, is it? Louie Zamperini’s life started in Torrance, California and he was one mischievous little boy, not liked by the cops. Thanks to Louie's brother, Louie took up running and his mischief was over, he ran and ran and soon entered and won many races, all the way till the olympics. Louies fun was soon put to an end as he was drafted into the air force, while there Louie experienced a horrible plane crash and was stranded for 47 days before he was “rescued” by the japanese. Louie is the description of being a sedulous person, he never gives up and is persistently determined to do what he wants when he wants to, in this case Louie Zamperini was determined to survive! Though early in the story Louie’s goal wasn’t survival, It was winning, Louie was a well known runner back in the 30’s and he was fast, so fast that he made the United States Olympic team and went to Berlin in 1936. During 5000 meter olympic race Louie was struggling, fortunately soon “He began draumatic acceleration. Around the turn and down the backstretch, Louie kicked, his legs reaching and pushing, speed dazzling. Louie’s fun and self-satisfaction soon took a dark turn, not to long after Louie came home from the olympics he was drafted into the air force. All was fine, but not for long. Presently after, Louie and a few friends were stationed in Hawaii they had an important search and rescue mission, they had to find B-24 bomber that didn't make it back to base and went down in the ocean. Without much thought the crew accepted and they were given the “Green Hornet” for their mission, no one knew that what lied ahead was going to be the end of all but three of the eleven crew members. Phil, Mac and Louie were the only people to survive the dreadful plane crash and they ended up stranded in the middle of the ocean with little to no food, floating and waiting to be rescued. While Louie, Phil, and Mac were on the raft they were constantly fighting sharks and starvation, they decided to “hit two birds with one stone” and kill the sharks and eat them.
