Louisa Clark is a very original girl living just about of an ordinary life at twenty-six-years-old. She has a steady boyfriend, and a close family which she supports. She takes a job caring for Will Traynor, who is quadriplegic after an accident with a motorcycle. Will Traynor is an active, young, successful, and wealthy man. Will’s mother, Camilla hires Louisa to care for his needs, and to help him not commit suicide, again. Will is a moody, bossy and just straight up callous, but Louisa refuses to give up, and eventually their relationship becomes closer. When she learns that Will, Camilla, and his sister Georgina made plans to take Will to an assisted suicide facility, she sets out to confirm to him that life is still worth living. Louisa accommodates Will on multiple different outings. The biggest one was to Mauritius, this was a big step for Will, and hopefully for Louisa too. Sadly, this was not it. Louisa kisses Will and declares her love for him, saying that she knows about his plan, but wants him to be with her. Although he loves her, too, Will says that he's going through with it. The initial difference that I noticed was that Will doesn't have a sister in the movie, but in the book, she is the one that informs Louisa about his plan. The perspective of the other characters is not seen in the movie like they are in the novel. Some chapters are completely told by Will’s mother, Camilla, Will’s other medical caretaker Nathan, and Louisa’s sister, Katrina. In the book, Will is planning to get guidance with his suicide from Dignitas. In the movie, it is only foreshadowed that Will plans to go to Switzerland, where supported suicide is
