When you think of Satanism, you probably think of goat’s blood, pentagrams, and sacrificing virgins, but that is not usually the case. There are many different types of Satanism, and all of these branches are hugely different. Some Satanists are atheistic. They are more commonly known as LaVeyan, but most of them do not use this term as a self-descriptor. There are also theistic Satanists. They vary from fundamentalist Christians who believe that Satan chooses who goes to Hell and God forgives all, so Satan should be appeased to the kind who kill virgins and bathe in the blood of the ram.
