Left with no options the only way to continue supporting his family was to move to the United States and look to provide his family with a better life. After reading “Bandido” by Luis Valdez the Majority of time antagonist and protagonist are usually black and white as clear as sky. Unfortunately Luis Valdez creates a complex character call Tiburcio Vasquez of his melodrama, he like a Robin Hood who commit crimes but has respect and kindness to those around him, kind of hard not to root for him to get away. Tiburcio state “The women are not to be hard and no one I repeat no one is to be killed” (Valdez 116). In this play, Vasquez is a notorious California bandit ho commit murder which makes him the antagonist. On the other hand, Vasquez Is the main character he has a kindness and flattering aroma around him which also makes him the protagonist.

It shown service members that even in the face of fear anything can be accomplished; as well as, explained to civilians that these qualities can be used in an everyday basis. "A Message to Garcia" by Elbert Hubbard is based on an actual event in the Spanish-American War. The book is primarily about Lieutenant Andrew Rowan and his perseverance and obedience to all orders given even in the face of fear and other obstacles in his path.

Pedro Alonso Lopez, also known as Monster of the Andes, was a colombian serial killer who was sentenced for killing eighty girls, but he claimed he murded and rapped about three hundred. Pedro Lopez was known for raping girls around his country then moved to Peru and Ecuador and all around. Pedros dad died when Benilda; his mother, was three months pregnant with her son at the time of his father's death.
The Message to Garcia written by Elbert Hubbard in 1899, showed many leadership traits demonstrated by Rowan. The three major leadership traits found in the reading was loyalty, dependability, and courage. Rowan was loyal, the way he accepted the mission without any problems. Mission to carry the message to Garcia was assigned to Rowan because he was reliable to perform this mission. Rowan showed courage by accepting the mission during dangerous time of war between Spain and the United States.
A message to Garcia is about a soldier named Rowan that is given an order to deliver a message to General Garcia. The book teaches the reader life qualities that everyone should possess. With no questions asked and very little knowledge as to where general Garcia is, Rowan Delivers the message. This book became of interest to me when one of my peers briefly told me about it. To be able to do the task presented to you with no questions asked is scarce in today's generation.
