Personal happiness and social obligation are always on the opposing end of the spectrum. They can also be one in the same. Literatures written over time express social obligation over personal happiness or personal happiness over social obligation, such works include “The Love Suicides of Amijima” by Chikamatsu Monzaemon and an excerpt from Mary Wollstonecraft’s “A vindication of the rights of woman”. These two stories are distinctly different in which they show more favoritism towards. Monzaemon’s play has a perpetual sadness issued by the fact that personal happiness caused the downfall of many characters.

Codependency is a form of living that can really affect and individuals life severely. Not many persons are strong enough to realize when they are codependent to someone, something, a substance or a situation. After reading the book “Codependent No More: How to Stop Controlling Others and Start Caring For Yourself,” by Melody Beattie, I started evaluating my self on some codependent characteristics. This book also made me realize the difficulty these individuals go through to go on with their lives as if they were normal. Following a small discussion of the book, I will give my opinion on this book and issue.
La Greta, I really enjoyed reading your post as I have been a part of such programs since I began my career as a police officer 18 years ago. I started by conducting parole checks on violent offenders and quickly learned how little they were prepared to return to society. You are very correct in that an offender’s re-entry starts the minute they begin their sentence. This is going to require the cooperation and collaboration of the prison system, probation and parole, law enforcement, prosecutors, social services and public housing. The money is out there in the form of federal grants and it just takes a little work to find them on the internet.
Ever since I was young, I have always heard someone talking about Marquette. Part of this may be due to the fact that three of my neighbors have gone to Marquette and have absolutely loved it. Adding on to that, I have met even more people that have gone to Marquette that have really liked it and are usually successful in life. I met even more people at the Marquette open house that were from all over the United States and said they went to Marquette and they hope their child will attend Marquette as well. This made me realize that Marquette is truly local, since I know several people that have gone to Marquette that live by me and at the same time it is global, since I have met people around the United States, as well as other countries that
Introduction Hook- Absurdism is seen as the confrontation of the individual with the natural world and society. Albert Camus thought there were three solutions to absurdism, which were physical suicide, philosophical suicide, and acceptance. Bridge- Philosophical suicide is seen as a leap of faith, a sort of giving in. If death is looked at in those terms than a philosophical murder should be similar to its suicidal counterpart.
The well-being of a person and other people is one of the many concern for communities. It can just come from general curiosity or even from the overall safety of those who resides in that same community. In Toni Morrison’s Sula, we meet a character named Shadrack, who returned from the World War and now suffers from a mental anxiety disorder. When he returned to The Bottom, as shaken up as he was to be back in this environment, Shadrack created a day for people to commit suicide. This day was known as National Suicide Day.
The demonstration of the narrator's imagination unconsciously leads his own thoughts to grow into a chaotic mess that ultimately ends in a death. By murdering, it’s his own way of finding peace. He is portrayed as being a sadist, sick man with an unnatural obsession for

CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF EMILE DURKHEIM’S THEORY OF SUICIDE Emile Durkheim (April 15, 1858 -15 November, 1917) was a French sociologist and is mostly famous for his monograph the theory of Suicide (1897). He is also a French sociologist, social psychologist and a philosopher and has formally established the academic discipline and is commonly cited as the principal architect of modern social science and father of sociology.
