Lululemon started twelve years ago in a little yoga studio. They are now a world known brand for their yoga, running clothes, and other sport activities. Lululemon are known for their amazing material and quality. They stand behind quality which allow you to return your worn clothing if it’s not up to your expectations. One of the main cultures they live by is there tie to the local communities. Lululemon offers complimentary self defense and yoga classes. When looking on their hiring page, lululemon states for the hirer is “the culture held within the company, including: attitude of fun, respect, support, empowerment, encouragement, passion, interaction with other staff, and in-store discussion of lifestyle such as yoga, fitness, health and fun.” Lululemon does a great job of showing their values and commitment for sustainability. (Lululemon, 2015) For North Americans humanitarianism is a major core value and lululemon has made it their goal for their clothing to be produced ethically. There top producer of their products is a company in Sri Lanka and they currently just did a promotion video highlighting the work place and their commitment to helping the community there. They made a promise to report to the Carbon Disclosure Project to reduce their carbon foot print and water usage. Committed to have the best quality, they have designed there products to last at least five years to reduce their environmental footprint. (Lululemon, 2015) In conclusion, I believe that Lululemon has done a great job at showing the world what there company believes in and are certain they can make a great product without sacrificing quality, helping communities, while reducing their carbon footprint. They are the second largest discount retailers. There stores are only located in the United States and currently have closed all there stores in Canada. Although they weren’t successful in Canada, they have become a great company to work for because of their amazing standards of corporate culture. They strive for diversity and to empower people to be amazing at what they do. Target is able to provide customers with an amazing experience because the workers are welcoming and that reflects off to the customers at target. They encourage diversity which allows target to reach every demographic and not like minded thinking. Target has partnered with many important organizations in the community. In 2014, Target employees were able to dedicate 1 million volunteer hours to an organization they believe in. They encourage volunteers and sponsorships through many establishments that are dedicated to diversity. Target has a made an effort to support 10,000 team members to be a part of groups that focus on African Americans, Asia America, Lesbians, Gays, Transgender, Military, Women and Hispanic.
