Lululemon has made a very successful company just within the span of 25 years. It started as a yoga-inspired athletic apparel company for men and women. The corporation portrays themselves as clean and vibrant. When walking into their store or ordering from online, everything is organized and clean. The colors of their clothing are very bright. The way they advertise and show their brand off is the reason people want to pay for their expensive clothing. Besides their higher prices, Lululemon’s marketing strategies highlight the exclusivity, emotional, physical, and lifestyle appeal.

The brand gives people motivation and desire to be healthy and live a good life. “A pair of yoga clothes can be a new year's resolution, a fresh start, a return to exercise, or a new way to spend time with friends.” (lululemon marketing). If you buy a new pair of pants, you can tell yourself that you’ll start working out and being healthy. If you and your friend both have lululemon on then you two could bond off of that. You could talk about how you just bought them and explain what you plan to do since you bought them. “By treating audiences as a community of people that are brought together by the common purpose of pursuing a healthier lifestyle, Lululemon can create deeper connections with customers.” (lululemon marketing). They present their clothing as clean and high quality. This makes people want to have that clean and high quality aesthetic. In an ad from Lululemon, “A man shows that he lives in a nice and clean home. Everything in the ad looks expensive and exclusive. He was also wearing Lululemon” (being well is a journey). Everyone wants to live in a clean home with expensive items because it looks nice. Since the man was wearing Lululemon with all of these expensive items, it makes Lululemon look expensive. “On Lululemons website their prices are expensive but the models look clean and the website is minimal. The price also shows that the products are durable and high end” (Athletic apparel). When people look at the prices of Lululemon’s clothing, it’s very expensive.
