I make choices every day, from what I am going to wear to what homework I will complete first during study hall. I made a poor choice, by looking up a modern translation of a passage in Macbeth on SparkNotes. Additionally, by using that translation during in class discussion and to better my own understanding of the passage. I believe that Ms.Reed told me at the beginning of the year, “It is not only about the grade. I want my students to come out of my class being able to write short stories, a play, a memoir, an analytical essay, in all, any type of writing.” By looking up a modern translation of a passage from Macbeth I am not abiding my Ms.Reed’s terms and I am not benefitting myself. In order to ensure that this never occurs again, I have set up a meeting time with Ms.Reed which is every Tuesday during x block. I will come prepared with questions that I have to avoid wasting both her time and my own as that, of course, would not be fair to either Ms.Reed or myself. Before an assignment requiring the use of the internet I will speak with the teacher to see what is allowed and not allowed and make sure that I am clear on that. I realize that what I did was not right, however, I did not do it because I wanted a good grade or since I wanted the teacher to think highly of me. I did it since I did not feel like my ideas were good enough, but I am going to change that mindset to ensure that this does not happen again. Because I know that I can do better. By seeing Ms.Reed every week and asking her questions about what we are discussing and reading about in class, I will understand what we are doing in class. This will give me a mindset that I can use to write about what we are discussing during
