Through Macbeth’s power and ambition, Shakespeare in the story of Macbeth is showing thats destiny is chosen from an individual's’ point of view or having their own decision to keep on going with the process. In the play Macbeth it shows that destiny is chosen by showing in Scene 2, Macbeth had wanted to become king the Throne of Cawdor and have all the power. Macbeth had killed The Thane of Cawdor and worked his way up and “For brave Macbeth (well he deserves that name) disclaiming fortune with his brandished steel” (Shakespeare 1.2.18). Macbeth had chosen to kill a man to get where he wanted to be and had acted like nothing even happened. In the scene 6, Lady Macbeth had hosted a party and invites some individuals to join. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plan is to kill Duncan, Macbeth’s best friend because Duncan would be next in line for king and “The love that follows us sometimes is our trouble” (Shakespeare 1.6.14). Proving that what Macbeth best friend Duncan had said relates to his death, how Macbeth would kill his best friend for him to become closer on becoming king. The quote i have picked explains how hosting a party helps with Macbeth’s plan and achieving what Lady Macbeth had told Macbeth which is to kill Duncan, Even when it comes to the people you love.
