Some time our tragic heroes, have their downfalls, are the protagonist of a dramatic tragedy. A tragic hero is usually a great hero, who is respected by many people, but also it can be taken away through bad decisions. Wrong judgment is the result of his or her downfall, a flaw which might combined with fated and external forces. The downfall can cause the tragic hero to suffer for the rest of his life. In many literary works, at their highest point of tragic heroes usually have their downfall. Just like the story as in Macbeth he is a tragic hero in the play called “The Tragedy of Macbeth” which is written by a legendary writer, William Shakespeares. By calling Macbeth the Thane of Cawdor, they give Macbeth the thought that being a king is his fate. Macbeth murders king Duncan which for the kingdom made it worst and harrowing. King Duncan never thought someone would kill him for the throne and he never knew Macbeth, he never thought Macbeth would be a danger. Macbeth feels that he can be more than just a general for the rest of his life, he want to have more power. The night Macbeth is planning to murder Duncan, the Old Man see many strange events. It creates a scary feeling in the kingdom, and means something bad will happen to the kingdom. The death of the current king can cause the people to rise at the government. Because of taking the power for himself, Macbeth murdered a great king. Macbeth is being thoughtless. He doesn’t care how things will be when he killed Duncan. He just wants the power instead. Because of him he then starts to worry that Banquo’s family will take over the kingdom like the three witches …show more content…

When killing Banquo, Macbeth also decides to kill Flance, which was Banquo’s descendant, which is also who can take throne from Macbeth. He want to keep the throne for himself. Again, Macbeth doesn’t care at this point. He doesn’t care what could happen to the kingdom after he dies. All the stuff he has caused also put him in front as a criminal from the deaths of king Duncan and Banquo. Macduff tells Macduff that what he has done is evil. “Tis two or three, my lord, that bring you word Macduff is fled to England” (4.1.141-142), hearing that Macduff knows the crime he has done he hears that Macduff is going to England he is afraid he will tell the rest of the people of his crimes. Macbeth decides he needs to kill Macduffs family and others to make sure that he protects his throne also cover up that he not involve with any of the crimes.
