Macbeth is the great example for Shakespeare’s tragic hero who is the person with high stature background, and good characteristics; but he had an crucial downfall through an significant factors in the story, such as his hamartia, or his close relationships.
Macbeth’s personality as a dynamic character changes throughout the play as opposed to a static character like Lady Macbeth, whose fixed goal is to kill King Duncan. A dynamic character allows Shakespeare to create a tragic hero, since Macbeth is of noble birth, goodwilled and transitions to evil natured and faces his downfall. The alterations Shakespeare makes for King Duncan and the events that surround his demise, reveals Shakespeare’s feelings regarding the monarchy, which serves dramatic and thematic purposes. Shakespear shows MacBeth's character beautifully when he writes "Till he unseamed him from the nave to th' chops, And fixed his head upon our battlements" (I.ii.22-23). This quote shows the type of character MacBeth starts out as, it shows MacBeth as a brave warrior fighting for King Duncan. MacBeth's character changes later in the story very drastically.
Macbeth is one of Shakesphere’s most well known plays, and for a good reason. It is also one of the most relatable plays due to its many displayed universal character traits.. Macbeth’s main character, Macbeth, shows off a wide range of complex character traits. These traits range from being very relatable to not being relatable at all. However, there are three of Macbeth’s character traits that almost everyone should be able to relate to.
Macbeth’s mental condition begins to dwindle as time goes on, starting with the murder of Duncan. At first, Macbeth is seen as a soldier that everyone aspires to be, strong, brave, and compassionate about his duties to the king. In act one scene two, Captain says, “...For brave Macbeth-well he deserves that name-...” This shows that he is a likeable person who has only the objective of serving his king. After meeting with the witches and hearing his prophecy, Macbeth starts to think about what it would be like to be king of Scotland.
‘Macbeth’s ambition is his only weakness’. Do you agree? Macbeth’s greatest weakness is his ambition, but it is also his greatest strength. Despite his ambition being one of his major weaknesses, it is not his sole weakness he exhibits that contributes to his inevitable death.

Characters might be thinking of doing something or how they should act and then they might execute it so much differently than they planned. It seems like Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are innocent and are good people, but they will do whatever it takes to gain power.
Throughout literature, we see human characteristics in our characters. Characteristics such as punishment, downfall, middling character, free choice, and nobility. In this play called Macbeth we see all these characteristics fall into place throughout the good and bad choices acted on by our main character Macbeth. The play demonstrates how power will make or break character and lead to his/her own destruction by possessing a few of these characteristics. Macbeth demonstrates both literal and figurative nobility as the plot beings to grow throughout the play.
The hero Macbeth from shakespeare’s “macbeth” is considered a tragic hero. The reason that he is one is he has the six characteristic that a tragic hero has. One, nobel structure, two a tragic flaw, three free choice, when the punishment exceeds the crime, increased awareness, and produces catharsis. What seemed like a fearless soldier soon would have his life turned around by his own innocent ambition that furthermore evolved into blinding greed, need for power, and selfishness. This soldier was Macbeth, he didn 't realize the toll this had on his mental health and others. Macbeth had many distinct layers to him that he personally didn 't know he acquired over the course of time. This is what you 'd call a complex character, one who can 't be cognized yet till you fully get to know their mindset and thoughts. They share similar ambitions, but it is Lady Macbeth who dares to do unspeakable things to accomplish them. This creates great conflict within Lady Macbeth who does not conform to the traditional female stereotypes of her epoch.
In the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare, the main character Macbeth, in many cases, is portrayed as being evil. However, his character is not truly the evil force driving the actions of the play. His wife, Lady Macbeth, as well as the witches and their misleading prophecies, are the real driving forces of Macbeth’s unspeakable actions. The Tragedy of Macbeth incorporates character development to present William Shakespeare’s motive; throughout the play it allows the audience to see the message the play relays. The play is a tragedy and it specifically shows the tragedy of humans as they self destruct. There is a use of literary devices to create different aspects of each character allowing them to portray different images of themselves that wouldn’t be noticed initially. Compared to how the audience views each character in the beginning of the play, the image develops into something new as different aspects are revealed. The characters and their continuous changes become the essence of the play.
Discuss the character development of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and the three witches Macbeth: In the beginning of the play Macbeth is a brave soldier that fights for his country and King but after being told by the 3 witches that he will become Thane of Cawdor and later King he is overcome by ambition and easily tempted by his wife into killing King Duncan. After killing King Duncan, Macbeth becomes paranoid and begins to kill anyone he suspects of being against him including his best friend Banquo. Due to his paranoia and guilt he cannot sleep as we see after he kills King Duncan he hears a voice that says, “Macbeth doth murder sleep. He later becomes crazy due to the thought of someone finding out he was the one who murdered King Duncan and is feared by his people as he rules as a tyrant.
