This presents Macbeth with the perfect opportunity to strike. The plan was laid out by Lady Macbeth by her own admission and as a result sparked Macbeth's own psychopathic tendencies, was to over indulge Duncan's private guards with mead and ale so that they fell asleep on duty "when Duncan is asleep, his two chamberlains will I wine and wassail so convince, that memory, the warder of the basin, shall a fume, and when in swinish sleep their drenched natures lie, as in a death, what cannot you and I perform upon the unguarded Duncan? What not put upon his spongy officers, who shall bear the guilt of our great quell?" As stated by lady Macbeth and this plan which was carried out to full fruition allowed Macbeth to carry out the diabolical act of slaying the rightful King. When the guards awoke Macbeth killed them in a fit of rage and blamed them for death of King Duncan. This can be confirmed as truth by Macduff the man that bravely fought and arrested Macbeth so that he can be brought to justice today, and even then Macbeth had guilt written all over him. His guilt can be confirmed further as when he killed the guards he did it as if he was indulging himself, proving that he reveled in killing making his claims of his wife forcing him to commit the crime
