In the first chapter of his book “In The magic of reality: How we know what's really true”, Dawkins seeks to show the readers the magic and beauty of nature as understood by science (Dawkins, 2011) (chapter 1), introducing them to several scientific concepts in the process. To do that, he had a series of ideas to tell in sequence and a general strategy and good writing style and organization he used for communicating and persuading his audience with his ideas. His general strategy included introducing arguments to his readers, persuading them with the usage of ethos, logos and rarely pathos (Williams, 2012), all while keeping them on the track by smooth transitioning.
