Music has and will always be an important part of me, because I identify with many musicians and the messages they convey in their songs. When I was growing up, Hip Hop was the order of the day but time has brought other music genres. Music has undergone many changes over the last few decades from its production to presentation to the audience. Recently, I have graduated from merely listening music to its meaning and the reason why the artist produced it. I have discovered that artists deliver different messages through music ranging from their personal experiences to societal issues. In the Man in The Mirror, Michael contends that change starts with a single person and spreads to the world. I love music because it expresses what mere words cannot express in a unique and acceptable manner. Music serves as my uplifting agent every time I feel low and need something to cheer me up. Music is in all aspects of life and without it, life would be boring.
