Most people think cheer is not a sport, but they are only half true. All-Star cheerleading is considered a sport because you have to compete against other teams, and travel to places as far as Europe or Asia. Okay, if you want to tell me that the band "Blink-182" is the same thing as the band "Pierce the Veil", I suggest you learn your music genres seeing as "Blink-182"'s genres that have been played are "Pop punk, alternative rock, punk rock, and skate punk" whilst the generes that Pierce the Veil include are "Post-hardcore, emo, and progressive rock". Not one of those geners were the same so I genres so please tell me how they are the same? You also mentioned that Panic! at the disco is the exact same, where as the genres are "Pop rock, baroque pop, pop punk, pop, emo, alternative rock, and hip hop". the only genres that are the same between "Blink-182" and "Panic!
It is extremely irritating when people do not recognize all the sports that are out there. Sure, there are a lot of them but if we can consider cheerleading a sport then I think that we can call marching band a sport. People do not understand why I am so easily annoyed when they diss this great sport. Marching band is the place where the intelligent students are.
Marching band; copious amounts of people scoff at the sound of those words. I often hear students commenting on how easy marching band is, how we don’t train like the football players do. At Anderson High School, that’s not the case, the marching band trains for just as long. As a band of over 125 individuals, it takes determination, pride, and confidence to achieve the goals we have set forth to accomplish. As a leader of the saxophone section, I know what it’s like to face failure, to overcome and turn it into success and to march on with confidence.

The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change.
While some believe that athletes should have their own choice at making a decision to go pro straight out of high school, they should not do so because they will not be able to manage their million dollar contracts respectively. Speaking of contracts, the NBA should eliminate guaranteed contracts for rookies drafted in the first round of the NBA draft. They should do this because a careless high school kid, could just go into the draft not knowing, or caring on how much they are going to make, with the lack of experience on handling millions of dollars. This is very unrepsonsibible for a teenager, and not only for the high school athlete, but also for the basketball association as well. This is because of there noncommitment to have these players
To the average person, the high school marching band is nothing more than a bunch of geeks that play during half time at the football games or monopolize the benches by the band hall, but to me, it is so much more. To me it is a family, a safe haven, a creative outlet, a home. I have been involved in marching band for three years, going on four, and I wouldn 't trade the experience for anything. When I entered high school as a scared and awkward freshman, I immediately had three hundred people that I could rely on. The program quickly became like a second home to me and opened up a whole new path in my life.

President Trump wants to have a military parade in Washington to honor the armed forces and to showcase U.S. military strength. The parade would be a big mistake because it would be very expensive costing millions of dollars, it would also be taking the money away from vital programs like the pentagon's annual budget, finally there isn't really a purpose for the parade. I strongly believe that every able bodied citizen that calls the United States home should serve in the Military for at least two years. Because of this, some Hip Hop fans maintain that the genre should remain a totally black art form, and that whites are not invited. Despite this, the top selling rapper of all time, with over 100 million records sold internationally, is Eminem, a white rapper from Detroit. With this being the case, one must wonder if race should not have anything to do with whether or not someone can rap. Many of the most acclaimed African American rappers have often touched on racism, as well as equal opportunity for all races.
I have always been a particularly musical person. When I was younger, I wanted to become a singer when I grew up, but upon joining the choir in elementary I realized I did not have the talent for singing that I thought I had. Continually singing off key and never sounding as good as my peers did, I decided to confine myself to singing at home where only my family could hear me. Despite this revelation that I was, in fact, a terrible singer, I still wanted to participate in some type of musical performance and decided to join the band in middle school. After trying out various different instruments, I settled on the flute and quickly fell in love.
