Miriam Miriam was a good example for many people. Her childhood wasn’t all that great being in a slave quarter of Egypt. Mariam was big sister to Mosses. Mariam was the oldest out of the three kids. She had to go and hide her brother Mosses from Pharaoh. She was with Mosses for the nine plagues. Not everybody knows that she is a prophet because a lot of people focus more on Mosses. Mariam knew her brother very well. This made it very, very hard to see him leave and go be an anointed prophet of God. Then, she got really, really jealous of Mosses. She got jealous that he got to be with God a lot and got to travel everywhere. A lot of people could see that she was jealous. Then, she realized that could do things for God too. Miriam and her brother had to speak against him and who he is married too. That was the only time she showed a bad example in the Bible. After that, karma hit her hard she ended up getting leprosy. She had it for the rest of her life. But her brother didn’t get afflicted by it or anything. God spoke to her and told her that she needed to apologize to Mosses. So she went and apologized to Mosses. She had to apologize for getting her attitude wrong and that the attitude got her in trouble. God did indeed punish her but later restored her again. Mariam was very, very fortunate, but Mosses not so much. Once, Mariam disobeyed God he restored her but when Mosses disobeyed God he didn’t restore him. The Bible never really says that Mariam was married. Since, she never married she never had kids. She didn’t really want kids either. Mariam went to the promise land with Mosses. Mariam supported Mosses most of the time but sometimes they had their differences. Mariam and Aaron always agreed but Mosses didn’t agree with them all that much. Even though God had restored her she still had leprosy. She believed in repenting and reforming. Which she kind of needed to do herself.
