According to Suzanne she is an only child to her Mother and Father, she and her Mother lived with her Mother's side of the family. During the war Suzanne explains that her Mother's side of the family was with them during the war in hiding. Shortly after Suzanne and her Mother came to America. Suzanne has a father who decided to immigrate to America when she was a newborn.
Mary was born on October 13, 1754 and came from a German family who lived in Trenton, New Jersey. Not much was known about her childhood, but she was not taught how to read or write. At the age of 15, she began working as a domestic helper for a family who lived in Carlisle Pennsylvania.
Catherine (Cathy) Cesnik was born on November 17, 1942, in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Anna Omulac-Cesnik. Cathy was the oldest of four children, who all grew up Catholic and attended the All Saints School in Baltimore, Maryland. Growing up, her parents were very busy, her father with his job, and her mother with taking care of her younger siblings. This led Cathy to feel like an outsider, she often wanted to visit her grandparents. Cathy attended St. Mary’s School on 57th Street and St. Augustine High School, both in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania.

It is documented of her being baptized on that date at St. John’s Episcopal in Richmond, Virginia. Mary has been believed to have been born in the late 1830s or early 1840s.

Nancy Hart A frontierswoman in Georgia during the American Revolution who should be seen as one of the most important women of the time, is Nancy Hart. She is an unsung hero whose mission was to get rid of Loyalists in Georgia’s territory. Hart was also a spy for the Patriot army and is very well known in Georgia but not as much in other parts of the United States. She is unsung because so little was documented about her early life and most people showed interest in her towards the end of her life and after she died. Also many courageous actions she took do not have specific details or they are told in different ways.

Her mother passed away in 1874,and her father passed the following year,becoming a orphan at age 7. After her parents passed,she went to live with her sister and borther in law. They moved to Vicksberg,Missippi in 1877.
Higgins was born on August 6, 1984 in the passenger seat of her aunt Janet's car. She was born in between Mallard and Emmetsburg while trying to get to the Palo Alto County Hospital. She grew up in a couple of different houses but they were all around the same area in Mallard, Iowa. Throughout
Esther Morris Esther Hobart McQuigg was born August 6, 1814 in the state of New York. Orphaned at the age of eleven, she earned her living doing housework for a neighbor. At an early age she started a millinery shop (Urbanek 5). Esther had been an antislavery worker, and, as a dressmaker, a successful businesswomen, and women’s rights advocate in her early twenties. Esther Morris helped build America through culture by redefining women’s rights.
Molly Ivins was born in Monterey, California in 1944. Her family moved a year after to Houston, Texas where she was raised (Reader 7). While she attends high school, she interns for the Houston Chronicles and is assigned to the Complaint Department (Reader 9). It is in this department that Ivins ' recognizes what customers are interested in reading—what attracts readers, what they expect from journalists’ and their articles (Reader 10). Eventually, Ivins gets a job as a police reporter for the Minneapolis Tribune.
The interviewee Gloria Nipping, is from Church, she’s always gone to 5pm mass on Saturdays ever since I can remember. Her husband Lou, goes fishing with my dad occasionally and so we are in constant contact with each other. Gloria was born in New Orleans, she lived 40 miles out of New Orleans in a small town, and her parish was Saint Charles, parishes were named after different saints. Gloria went to elementary school in a little town, it was a two room school with two teachers and each teacher had four classes, it was segregated. Gloria stated, “I was in a time when things were segregated.”
Paul Revere shouted throughout his midnight ride, “The Regulars are coming!” He was an American Patriot in the American Revolution who lived in Boston at the time. His lifespan was from 1735 to 1818, during the American Revolution. One of his famous quotes was “In Medford, I awakened the Captain of the Minutemen; and after that, I alarmed almost every house, till I got to Lexington.” Paul Revere is important to history because if he didn't warn Lexington about the British, America itself might not be known as America.

Newspapers and books were made, talking about the disappearance and death of Mary Rogers. One of the most popular book written about Mary was called “The Mystery of Marie Roget” by Edgar Allan Poe with the help of Auguste Dupin. It took a lot of trials and errors, but it was never figured out to how Mary had died.
Amy Tan is a Chinese-American author who was born on February 19, 1952, in Oakland, California. In Tan’s early life she had many struggles because her parents desired for her “to hold onto Chinese traditions and her own longings to become more Americanized” (Encyclopedia). While she wanted to become a writer when she was still young, her parents wanted her to become a neurosurgeon. When she got older and went to college she majored in English then started her career in the 1970’s. She was a technical writer and then started writing fiction stories.
