Marilyn Monroe was born June 1, 1929, in Los Angeles, at Gladys Pearl Mortenson (web.b.ebsocohost.com). Right after she was born her mother, Gladys, her mother, sent her to be cared for by Bolander Home,a foster family, sixteen miles away (web.b.ebscohost.com).
