Mark had always been fascinated by the study of government and politics and learning about the goings on of government as it applied to his life. When he was little all he knew was that he was a citizen of America, America is a republic and has democracy (which his teachers always said was a good thing) and that his dad had come to America to live the American Dream. As he got older, he learned more and his fascinations with all the going ons of American government grew. When he was in his sophomore year, his government teacher asked his class what their political ideologies were, and he hadn’t the slightest idea. The relationship between his family and school on issues such as acceptable behavior in school was similar to an interstate compact. Last year when Mark didn’t meet the prerequisite grade for a class, his parents (the federal govt for the most part in the relationship between family and school) were able to utilize the principle of preemption. If Mark were to, for example, send inappropriate pictures, the extradition clause would surely be enforced and he would be returned to school every day to serve an in school suspension. If Mark’s parents did not approve of the practice of a teacher, such as having their freshmen classes grade the papers of their junior classes, the system of checks and balances would be called into play and a complaint would be made to the administration. In Mark’s school, all the students had to have iPads, but they were not provided, which is also known as an unfunded mandate. The Full Faith and Credit Clause is like when spreading gossip or lies about teachers or other students is prohibited at school, it is also prohibited at home. The newspaper club which Mark was the editor of could be likened to a civil society, a group of students all united by a passion for writing.
