Huck dislikes being with his father so he fakes his own death and runs off to meet Jim, who has also run away. The two go on adventures together down the Mississippi River. Huck and Jim encounter a steamship swarmed with murdering thieves and being taken in by a family which is eventually murdered. Jim then is taken away to a plantation. Huck is loyal enough to try and rescue Jim and they ride off into the sunset when Jim is freed of slavery.

To begin with, by removing the N-Word from Huckleberry Finn, the moral and educational purpose of the story would be belittled. The educational value of keeping the word in the book is so tremendous because it is necessary in order to accurately teach history. It is not meant to glorify the gore of the past but to instead help students better understand the situations. In the speech, Lincoln addresses the reasons and causes of the war and tries to bring the North and South together. In order to convince the two to unite once more, Lincoln uses alliteration, allusion, synecdoche, and metonymy to make his point and purpose clear. Lincoln utilizes alliteration in order to achieve his purpose of uniting the two unions together.
Starting from a young age, everyone loves to go on adventures and have fun, just like Huck Finn. Growing up in St. Petersburg, Missouri, he is a white 12 year old boy and the son of a drunken father. In the beginning of the book, Huck is seen as a little innocent boy. Until he enters the world with his friend, Tom Sawyer, as they go on adventures, which creates problems and controversy through the history of the North and South, civilization, and racism and slavery. Mark Twain and Charles W. Chesnutt wrote about many similar topics that were based in the 1800 's. The themes of these two stories tie together by the way that the main character is a boy trying to figure things out on his own, the two boys are traveling through most of the story with a slave, and both stories have an ironic twist dealing with the slave that they travel with at the end of the story. Jim wants Huck to keep running, but Huck’s having a good time with his new friends and refuses to go, until he sees Jim getting whipped by the overseer. Huck tells him he’s sorry and that he wants to help him, just before the family is attacked by the Shepardson’s. Huck’s newfound friends are killed in battle over their daughter running off with a Shepardson boy. So Huck escapes with Jim during the confusion. They meet some swindlers who want to turn Jim in for ransome.

Therefore, the author uses the main character Huck, to demonstrate the ability to change. He use Huck’s experiences and adventures throughout the story, to develop Huck’s character over time not only by the challenges he faces, but the decisions he makes during them.
Throughout the rest of Huck 's journey he continues to meet people along the way that believe themselves to be good civilized people but they all contradict that in some way. The Grangerford 's are in a murdering feud with another family, the Phelps own slaves and are trying to get a reward for Jim, the townspeople that feather and tar the Duke and King without a trial, the execution of Boggs, even the Widow tells Huck not to smoke but takes snuff herself. Huck spends a large amount of time in the book pondering over how to be good and do the right things, and at the end of the book when he decides to go West and leave it all behind he has finally realized that he 's not the one that 's bad, society is. Huck heads back out into the world not for more adventure, but to get away from

I was reading The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn and I am comparing my personality with the main character in the book, Huck Finn. There can be a few things that I can be able to relate to such as him being adventurist in the story. I can also compare something about what Huck thinks about freedom. Huck may also mention about some things that he found in his adventures are superstitious and can be considered bad luck.

Not just in age or in height, in maturity and selflessness. He went from a selfish, mischievous teenager to a selfless, punishment taking, concerning for others Tom Sawyer we saw at the end of the book. I also have gotten more mature throughout seventh grade and less selfish. At the start of the book I was dead set to think that Tom was a nuisance and would stay that way throughout the book.
