This article is about Martin Luther king who we have selected as the Person of History. He was a civil rights leader that was fighting for the rights of African-Americans and was trying to eradicate Race discrimination. Martin Luther King was born on January 15th 1929 and died on April 4, 1968. King has had a revolutionary impact on the world today and has left his mark as the greatest figure of History. His fight for Black rights has changed the way we live today and has given hope to every Black person living in America and around the globe. Without him Black people would still be discriminated because of their color and they would not be able to live in peace and have their freedom of rights. His hard work towards lawful rights to Black people in America has led to many of them becoming great figures in History such as Michael Jackson and other significant key figures of history. We have named Martin Luther King as the Person of History due to his great achievements as an activist in the civil rights movement. He fought for voting rights and was famous for his speech “I have a dream” in Washington. He also led people in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which was a civil-rights act because dark-skinned people weren’t allowed to use bus transportation. …show more content…
