Martin Luther is known for his publishing of the ninety five theses in 1517 on the Church doors in Wittenberg. These arguments against the actions of the Catholic Church would lead to the theological and intellectual revolution of Germany and the rest of Europe. However, all in all, he was more harmful than helpful Europe in the next few hundred years. The reason for his arguments against the church were based off of things that should not have been happening in a so called pure place.
Martin Luther had the greatest impact on his accomplishments and his life in our modern world, because he gave us freedom to religion. In his life he became a monk and a professor at the University of Wittenberg, Germany. Luther did some Catholic teaching and he “...became stressed that both faith and good works were needed to gain personal salvation” (page 173). He became stressed because human beings were powerless in his eyes and the eyes of God. “On October 31, 1517, Luther, who was greatly angered by the Church’s practices, sent a list of Ninety-five Theses to his church superiors, especially the local bishop” (page 173).
Martin Luther King Jr. states that in a totalitarian government, he could understand some of the illegal actions that are happening. Besides understanding illegal practices, Martin Luther King Jr. also states he could also understand denying the freedom of religion to certain people. Eventually, Martin Luther King Jr. discusses other important rights in American society, and the right to protest was the most important aspect of American society. Martin Luther King Jr. doesn’t know what is yet to come for America, but he states that America’s toughest days are yet to come. Martin Luther King Jr. also states that he hopes for longevity and finish what God has set for him to start on.

He was the son of Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King, had a sister and a brother, but was never expected to be one of the most influential people of all-time.
