Masks Of Gender Identity

246 Words1 Pages
Despite it being the twenty-first century, many people are still afraid of what they do not know. So, it is only natural that people who don't understand gender identity are afraid. However, their negative feelings towards people who are not cisgender do not excuse their actions. For example, two of the antagonists, Jason and Scream. Donning the masks of their horror film namesakes, Jason and Scream terrorize Gabe and his friends. The duo threatens Gabe, releases his identity without his consent, attacks Gabe, assaults Paige, crashes the UCB meet and greet, and puts John in the hospital. There is a verse repeated throughout the song: "Do you know the enemy Do you know your enemy Well gotta' know the enemy, ohaooh!"
