“The Parable of the Good Seed” by Matthew is a parable that was told around 2,000 years ago, when Jesus came to earth, and his disciples were following him around. It is a part of a story where Jesus is sitting by a lake, and as many times before, a big group of people gathered around him, so he begins to share stories, one of which was this one. Matthew was one of the disciples present at the time, and later recorded the event in writing. Although Matthew is the author of this parable, he is quoting Jesus. This parable is quite an interesting and complicated allegory. It is not enough only to understand what each part of it symbolizes. The key to understanding this parable is understanding how each symbol works together in order to make a point. A few verses after this parable, Jesus tells us what each part of the parable symbolizes, but it still leaves the reader questioning why and how. THESIS GOES HERE

Instead, Jesus tells the angels to let both grow together until harvest time, or the end of the world. The end of the world is a time when Jesus will come back to earth for the second time, and the angels will sort out the good from the bad. The good will get to keep living on the earth while the bad will be thrown in hell where they will suffer forever.
