The Mayan adopted a form of government. Kings would rule over them.However while kings were away,women would rule. One kings name was Pakel the Great. He was born in 603 A.D. Pakel died in 683 A.D. at the age of 80.
The Mayan worshiped many gods. They worshiped gods of nature. The god’s names were Chac, Bolon Tzacab, Kukulcan( who was also known as Quetzalcoatl some cultures) and Itzamna. Mayans had one goddess. She was the goddess of suicide.

One city was named Caracol. Caracol was located in the valley of Mexico. They also built a city called Tikal. Tikal’s tallest building stood at 230 feet tall. Teotihuacan was the last major city the Mayans built. It was located in Cayo district.
