Important questions was raised to restrict the content of the media about the types of features or interactions that require attention, the amount to which media choices should be put on restriction for certain age groups, and their is a need for policy interventions and also parental and professional guidance.There is a spread in knowing that the media has an influence on health behaviors. In most cases, the understanding between public health critics is that this influence is mainly negative (such as tobacco use, obesity, violence). Other cases are less controversial in the media framing of a health problem; what is being discussed is how to tackle the media for improving public health.
As discussed in this chapter the evidence from multiple types of studies, conducted by researchers , and using data from many countries shows a causal relationship between tobacco, food, alcohol, and DTC advertising and promotion and increased use of these products.

Retailers have in their hands the control of how products are promoted and how different choices are presented to consumers; on the other hand manufacturers have control over the components of their products; and packaging, advertising and marketing can all powerfully influence people’s decision making. The government needs to decide and use the insight and technological expertise of manufacturing to do changes for the benefit of public health. The main thing that motivates the industry is to maximise profit. Letting strong ads act as partnership role in setting the target of public health could lead to distortion in health priorities.
