The media has conducted a major influence on the gay community. There is conducted research through interviews and surveys. The articles identified each have high importance, but one is more educated based then the article posted on Variety. The topic of these articles is to identify the influence that is brought by seeing the LGBT figures presented through the media either through movie films or television.
The first article that is popular is titled, “Ellen DeGeneres Influenced Gay Rights Views More Than Any Other Celebrity (Study)”. It is well written for the open community for the whole audience understands directly what is being discussed. The importance of this article is to connect with the audience that is being directed towards which is aimed towards to viewers who are aged as young adults. There was a small detailed quote from the article stating about the surveys sent out nationwide that states, “DeGeneres’ daytime show was the most frequently cited, followed by “Modern Family” and “The Fosters.”” This is important

There is basic language used in the Variety article that is easily understood like this quote, “The study was conducted as part of Variety‘s recent issue examining Hollywood’s role in the gay rights fight and its impact on the Supreme Court’s decision last week legalizing same-sex marriage in all 50 states.” It is a broad statement that covers the information briefly, with little support. Compared to the studied research it has a referenced quote like, “The current investigation examined the influence of the media on gay, lesbian, and bisexual (GLB) identity using both survey and in-depth interview approaches.” It identifies the factors that is be conducted to be researched and understood clearly and also includes the type of investigation. It explains clearly with language that should be understood by the audience with statistics to also support the claim with interviewed
