Doctors in Nazi Germany during the World War II period were some of the most inhumane people of the time. Their human experimentations and testing that was done in concentration camps were some of the most awful acts carried out during World War II. In this short period of time it is estimated that over 30 different experiments were carried out on numerous camp prisoners (Tyson). These experiments were carried out by a number of different doctors such as Dr. Clauberg, Dr. Oberheuser, and Dr. Mengele who all operated out of concentration camps such as Auschwitz (Bülow, “The Nazi Doctors”). Luckily after the war these doctors were all brought to justice and held responsible for their inhumane actions (“Auschwitz-Birkenau”). These medical experiments …show more content…

Dr. Clauberg started off his career as a gynecologist, but this soon changed when he was asked to come experiment on patients in camps (“Clauberg, USHMM”). He was most infamously known for his research on the mass sterilization of people that were prisoners of the concentration camp, specifically from Block 10 (“Auschwitz-Birkenau”). Dr. Clauberg was especially interested in finding a way to sterilize women that was both cheap and worked very well. Dr. Clauberg would find what he wanted when he produced an injections that caused severe pain, inflamed ovaries, spasms in the stomach, and bleeding in his patients (“Carl Clauberg, AICE”). Another method Dr.Clauberg used to sterilize his patients was putting them in between two x-ray machines, after this was done their testicles were then delivered to Breslaw for examination and more testing (Bülow, "Dr. Carl Clauberg"). Dr. Clauberg over this course of time changed the lives of many and sometimes even ended the lives. Dr. Oberheuser was known to use several different twisted and cruel methods in order to kill prisoners, including young children. For example with young children still being conscious Dr. Oberheuser would proceed to cut out vital organs, using no anesthetics. Trying to aid medical care on the front lines, she would perform tests where battle-like wounds were inflicted on a patient and then she proceeded to rub saw dust, rusty nails, and wood into the wood to simulate a battlefield setting. Dr. Oberheuser also performed acts that would have no real purpose. For example, she would kill kids by evipan injections which attacked the heart, once injected a subject had few minutes to live and this would all be done with the patient awake (“Herta
