The medieval period was considered as one of the most unforgettable period in European history. The birth of the period was created when the Roman civilization disintegrated during the beginning of the 5th century C.E., only lasting around 10 centuries, the fall of the medieval ages were noted as the 13th century. To others the fall was either in the 14th or 15th century, also known as the beginning of the renaissance period. During its central period, it had already largely increased and established its growth in its economic, territorial expansion, agricultural, and its development of institutions. Godfrey then fought many more sieges, while holding off Egyptian attacks, and creating Muslim alliances. His role in the siege of Antioch was the fall of his rule and death of his life. He was stricken in the chest by an arrow in the siege of Acres. Godfrey also died in a foreign land in an attempt to have a successful crusade. This is a similarity because King Louis and Godfrey were knight crusader’s. They fought in crusades to avenge and fully repel Muslims from the holy land.
