During my high school career I have made a consistent effort to stay involved in both my school and community. Through clubs such as Key Club, National Art Honor Society, and National Honor Society I’ve been able to help out locally and globally in an abundance of ways. In Key club and NHS I am able to volunteer in traditional ways, but National Arts Honors Society allows me to contribute to my community and school in a creative way that stimulates people 's minds through art. Due to these activities having a significant impact on my life my future career options are based around what I have learned from them.
I have been an active member in multiple school extracurricular activities. Mu Alpha Theta is one of the clubs I part take in, and I have been a member for three years. In Mu Alpha Theta, I participate in inter-school test, practice math problems and attend math competition. Another club I participate in is National Honor Society. I have been a member in National Honor Society for eleventh and twelfth grade.
National Honor Society is a great opportunity for me. I heard that there is a lot of people who have good leadership and provide awesome ideas in national Honor Society. I would like to be member of this, acquire a great experience, and share my ideas to contribute volunteer, donations and so on. I love to see people are happy when I help them. joining NHS would allow to me grow as a person and provide me a way to go a great future.
Another reason why is I will get the opportunity to serve my local community; doing more service work will help me to be better as a person. Being in NHS will help build who I am as student. It is a great honor for me to be nominated to become a part of the National Honor Society at Bishop Brady High School. I would be elated to join a Society such as this because of the opportunities it would provide me as both a student and a person. Becoming part of the National Honor Society would further me to push myself academically. It would also give me added opportunities to serve my community and school.
National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
With my luck I wasn 't surprised that the day National Honor Society slips were handed out, my homeroom teacher was absent. As I went from period to period, everyone gushed about how they were considered to become a part of the society. I sat there silently not saying a word. One can only imagine the stress I went throughout the day wondering if I was in or out. I ended up getting the letter the next day during homeroom.
In the eighteen years of my life, I have done many things to achieve my goals. Though my objective tends to change in detail, it does not budge from the whole. My goals consist of gaining knowledge of the world and people, and provide myself a path to follow while changing the world a step at a time. Although my aims sounds a bit farfetched and difficult, it is what I intend to accomplish. Notable classes/activities are rare, yet the ones that I take note of has influenced my life choices and views of the world.
So far, my life has been full of change. I was born in, India, and moved around for many of the early years of my life. I went from, Toronto, Dayton, Cincinnati, Wheaton, and finally, Elk Grove Village, in a six-year span of my life. These formative years were great for me because my parents always pushed me to do my best. Academically, I was pushed into performing the best I could such as trying my best in English class even though it was a struggle in the beginning.
The first reason why I should be in National Junior Honor Society is because of my leadership skills. The first example of my leadership skills are applied to my youth group in the Cecilton Parish. I am the treasurer and help with the Ideas for fundraising. We, as a group held a spaghetti dinner for the church and I managed the money and the setting. Pursuing this further, I actively show leadership in school.
Third, I will serve the the school and community. I 'm willing to take on difficult or inconspicuous responsibilities; I work well with others and I 'm happy to work with others. Fourth, I have leadership qualities and I exercise leadership. I am resourceful in proposing new problems, applying principles, and making suggestions. I believe I display all of the qualities mentioned in the four pillars of National Honor Society. I am a person of good character who displays the six pillars of character in everything I do. I provide leadership and service in many ways and value education as a lifelong learner. National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.
