In 1950 my existence came to be....Memorial Stadium was what they named me....On 33rd Street they built me strong...I felt like I was where I belonged....In a neighborhood called Waverly...I loved the people and they loved me..I was dedicated in honor of the City 's dead....Who fought in World War two. Only God can count the number of tears that were shed. In the year 1953 a football team named the Colts became part of me. So many fans came to see them compete and players with names etched in infamy....Like Unitas, Moore, and Raymond Berry until that sad night in 1983. They packed up and left ....they abandoned me... .In 1994 to 1995 the Stallions came but not for long.....then the Ravens they came in 96 and I thought nothing more could go wrong. Oh I loved the kids in the neighborhood each and every one....I saw them sneak into games through my bleachers and kept their secret safe and watched them grow.......they were my treasures this you should know... .Have I mentioned the fourth of July fireworks display???? Well it turned the night into the day!!!! People were inside and out you see watching the spectacle erupting from me!!!!! There were BOOMS!!!! and OHHHS and AHHS and then at the last one everyone cheered and clapped for the fireworks show they did see.... So many good times....proposals weddings and more....they are part of my history and so much more..... They say that all good things must end and on December 14th, 1997 they closed the doors to my friends....Where will they go????? Those I watched grow?
