On Saturday October 10 the then ranked 12th Florida State Seminoles played the Miami (Fl) Hurricanes at the Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. A college football rivalry that thousands of fans looks forward to seeing every year. Kick off was at 8:00 PM but fans were encouraged to get to the stadium early because this was a sold out event. Around the Doak Campbell Stadium additional parking was available for fans starting at $30 dollars. I even seen a sign that said parking $70 dollars although it was located conveniently right across the street from the stadium.
It never came in to fruition when they kicked everyone out ,and bulldozed the area for a Dogers baseball stadium. Eric Avila a professer at the California univeristy states that Changing the name would eradicate the memory of the old community. In his essay “Gil’s Sportsplex”, Gil Fried states that Gil Giles is always obsessed with softball and thus, he tends to invest a sportsplex after he retired (1). Fried introduces Gil’s backgrounds that he is a former police officer without any experiences in running a sports facility (2). Elsewhere, Fried demonstrates various industry analyses about sportaplex, for example, the definition of sportsplex is a facility offering multiple indoor and outdoor sports (2), and the “Sportsplex Operators and Developers Association (SODA)” propose some guidelines for implementing a sportsplex, such as “developing a needs assessment, feasibility study and preliminary design”(2). In addition, Fried cites CT sportsplex information, which includes the location, population, the charging fees, sponsorship packages, and the competing component research, as a frame example for Gil’s sportsplex (3-4).
History of the term “Majors” and the Mascot The sideline mascot was created by the Spirit Committee of the SBA in the spring of 1985 when they began requesting mascot uniform designs. It first appeared on the field in the fall of 1985. There are two articles in the Purple and White documenting this. See Mar. 26, 1985, page 6 Here and Sept. 10, 1985 page 1 and 5. Prior to this time, the only visual representation of the athletic teams for Millsaps were the words “Majors,” which first appeared in the early 1900’s, the military “leaf,” which is the insignia for a major in the military, was used on jerseys and helmets, and the graphic seal of the college with the encircled line drawing of the college founder Major Millsaps’ head and shoulders.

Although these names are some of the best of all time there is just one that stands out from the rest because he was a freak of nature and that is the fireballing right hander Nolan Ryan. Nolan Ryan is arguably the hardest thrower of all time in the past 30-40 years and is one of the best workhorse pitchers of all time besides the all time shutout leader, Walter Johnson. The Florida Gators teams represents the university of Florida in the sport in basket ball. The Gators compete in National collegiate athletic Association Davison. They also play their home games in the O 'Connell Center. That’s on the university’s Gainesville Florida campus.

The new stadium is said to include many new and improved features including new state of the art technology, and a huge hospitality center. The SunTrust stadium will also be about 20% smaller than the Braves original stadium. Fans fear that with the smaller space will create a problem with crowding, but the Brave’s employees seem to be confident in their actions as they state “We do not discount the concerns appellants have raised about the wisdom of the stadium project and the commitments Cobb County has made to entice the Braves to move there”(Sigo). The concerns for available space in the stadium has not gotten the Braves anxious at
Go cubs go November, 2, 2016 the Chicago Cubs won the world series. On November, 4, 2016 they held a parade in Chicago. At 8:00 in the morning I woke up to my parents telling me to get ready. I put on my Cubs shirt, ate two eggs and ham, then went straight to the train station. As we went through each stop all you could see was blue and white shirts, hats, and W flags.
Carver Hawkeye Arena is a more grand experience during wrestling because wrestling is a lot better to watch opposed to football, my opinion though. I love everything about wrestling, I love the coaching style at Iowa, and they way the wrestlers at Iowa always stay so humble. If you go to a meet and you hear Terry screaming way to loud and jumping around like a panzi don’t worry its normal.
Baseball Hall of Fame legend Cal Ripken, Jr. looked to his father, Cal Ripken, Sr. as a powerful mentor. “He tried to give us the value of being a good person,” Ripken, Jr. said. “The value of a mentor… I don’t know what value you can place on it, but the right words spoken at the right time from a person that’s been through it before…can make all the difference in that youth game,” he added. What’s that sound? It’s the sound of the crowd chanting, Hold your horses, the elephants are coming! In the beautiful town of Chicago, Illinois there is a brand new mascot hall of fame. This place inducts the best mascots from all sports that had a major impact in their sport, community, a memorable or groundbreaking performance, and a fun and unique costume. Even though some argue that Big Al the Elephant isn’t the best mascot and isn’t worthy of the hall of fame, we think that he has hit every category to be inducted because he is designed by Disney.
A new upper concourse was added with ramps, elevators, and more restrooms. In addition, nearly 12,000 seats were added along the top of the stadium. This includes club seats and luxury suites. Also an atrium, known as “Titletown”, was built. This area includes a Packers Hall of Fame, a team store, a restaurant, and several offices and meeting rooms were also constructed (Lambeau Field).
