I chose mental health counseling as a profession due to personal experiences in my life. Choosing to become a professional counselor is not only a personal commitment to me, but to others, and to society as a whole. As a survivor of domestic violence, I felt a strong desire and need to make a difference in lives of many suffering from: personal issues like anger management, depression, suicidal thoughts, aging, parenting, self-image, relational problems, stress, addiction, and women involved with domestic violence.
