In the first place, Tybalt never liked Romeo because he was a Montague. The family rivalry had already caused problems between Romeo and Tybalt. Tybalt says to Romeo, “Romeo, such is my regard for you that I can say no more than this: you are a villain” (Shakespeare 3.1. 135). Tybalt ultimately says this to Romeo to start a fight with him. At that moment, Romeo did not want to fight, which caused Mercutio to get involved.
Tybalt was a ruthless beast who got angry at Romeo for showing up at a Capulet party. So he challenged Romeo to a duel. If Tybalt had never challenged Romeo, Romeo would not be banished. Tybalt killed Mercutio because Mercutio was standing up for Romeo. Tybalt slayed him and Romeo backlashed by killing Tybalt, causing Romeo to be banished.
He insisted on duelling with Mercutio and Romeo. Romeo refuses but Tybalt being the fiery hot-headed character that he was who acted on his emotions alone without thinking of the consequences, fought Mercutio anyway. This lead to Mercutio being slain and causing Romeo to burst into anger and kill Tybalt. By killing Tybalt, Romeo was exiled by the Prince. With Romeo exiled from Verona, he is not able to reach Juliet safely, thus forcing Juliet to make an elaborate false death so that she could be with Romeo.
Most people know the fight between Mercutio and Tybalt from the author, William Shakespeare, but they never heard from Benvolio's point of view. As Mercutio and I were walking in the village, I had a sense that something was going to go wrong. I had this feeling because it was hot and Mercutio gets a little angry when he has been in the heat to long. From my point of view i also saw the truth that when Mercutio said he was hurt i felt it wasn't a joke because he was acting to hurt for it not to be true. My last thought was i saw the anger starting to rise in Mercutio
Tybalt’s actions demonstrate his aggressive and confrontational nature and his responsibility for Mercutio's death. Another reason Tybalt is responsible for Mercutio’s death is due to his lack of remorse or regret for his actions. Throughout the play, Tybalt demonstrates a ruthless and violent nature, and does not show any remorse for his role in Mercutio’s death. “O, I am fortune's fool!” (3.1.143).
Romeo and Juliet eventually get engaged causing Tybalt to blame Mercutio for inviting Romeo to the party. This leads up to every conflict in the story. If Mercutio had not invited Romeo to the party, Romeo would not have met Juliet so they would not have died. Jokester Inside Mercutio The embodiment of personas is what makes us act the way we do on a regular basis. In William Shakespeare’s, “Romeo and Juliet”, most times Mercutio is all laughs and jokes and doesn’t have a care in the world for anything. Mercutio even makes jokes to his enemy Tybalt who is a Capulet. Shakespeare uses witty comments and casual remarks to portray Mercutio to be the jokester of the book.
In the tragic play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Mercutio and Tybalt have an argument which leads up to a fight to the death but they both end up dying. Even though some may believe it’s Mercutio’s fault for the deaths, I believe that it’s Tybalt’s fault for both of the deaths. I believe that Tybalt is responsible for both his own and Mercutio’s death because he is hot-headed and opinionated when it comes to listening to other people One of the Reasons Tybalt is to blame for both of the deaths is because of his careless action choice. After talking to Mercutio, Tybalt was furious and wanted to fight him “(Draws his sword)”

Romeo acts as an arbitrator between Tybalt and Mercutio because he understands the repercussions of the impending clash. He tries his best to reason with Tybalt by saying “I do protest, I never injured thee, But love thee better than thou canst devise.” Meaning that he won 't fight because he is related to him through marriage. Tybalt, not knowing of their secret wedding ignores Romeo’s comment, continuing his goading of Mercutio.
Tybalt was a troublemaker and also a good sword fighter and picked a lot of fights. He fought Mercutio and killed him by accident. Tybalt was slain by Romeo because Tybalt killed his best friend. Tybalt was also mad because Romeo came to his party and thought that it was a
Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel and he declines the challenge and insists that he won’t fight Tybalt. Mercutio is angered by Romeo’s “cowardice” and takes on Tybalt himself. Romeo wants Mercutio to stop fighting Tybalt so he decides that it’d be a good idea to block his arm in mid combat and Tybalt stabs Mercutio from under Romeo’s arm and Mercutio falls dead after rambling about plagues and a pun or two. Romeo doesn’t realize that it is his own fault that Mercutio died after Mercutio even blamed his wound on him. Romeo lets his emotions decide his actions and becomes enraged and ignores that Tybalt is now his family and fails to see that he was the reason Mercutio was killed.
Mercutio decides to fight tybalt because Romeo would not fight back against him. Romeo is being a coward in the eyes of Mercutio so he decides to fight Tybalt on his own. “O calm, dishonorable, vile submission Alla stoccata carries it away. Tybalt, you ratcatcher, will you walk?” (Shakespeare 1091).
Tybalt believes that Romeo attended the fest to mock and show disgrace to the Capulet and therefore wanted to kill Romeo. however, which in fact is not true as Romeo came to meet Rosaline and is known in the city to be a very nice man. Tybalt’s feeling about Romeo is not due to his actions but because of his passionate hate for Romeo as he is a Montague a family enemy. In addition, Tybalt Mercutio has great hate towards the Capulets and along with his short temper has caused his death and gotten Romeo banished from
Romeo disagrees and says, “Tybalt, the reason why I have to love thee / doth excuse the appertaining rage” (III I 63-65). Here Romeo expresses his love for Tybalt due to the fact that Romeo is wed to Juliet, Tybalt’s cousin making him a relative of Tybalt. However, Romeo does not reveal why he loves Tybalt. Mercutio fights for Romeo and is slain by Tybalt and Romeo seeking revenge, murders Tybalt and is banished. Both these events cause other events of poor communication to take place in this chain reaction which leads to the dreadful end of Romeo and Juliet.
