1.The name for the Egyptian art piece is named Menkaure and a Queen and is measured at 4 feet 8 inches high and located at Museum of Fine Arts,Boston. Its medium is Greywacke previously supplemented with some red/black paint.

Metropolitan Kouros has the same body type as Menkaure as well as the same clenched hands but differ in that Menkaure has more muscle definition. The line present in both art pieces are also similar as both have a smooth shaping about them. Another detail is Metropolitan Kouros and Menkaure have one foot forward with both the foot forward being their left ones. Lastly is their posture in which both have a straight and proud posture with Menkaure’s shoulder being more pronounced than Metropolitan Kouros’ shoulders. 5. The characteristics the Greeks stole from the Egyptians were mostly from their form and light since both do not have the same colors and light. They both have an overall smoothness in appearance though Metropolitan Kouros has some chips and holes and both have their male subjects with the same basic identical pose with their hands clenched, left foot forward, and straight posture. These sculpture are said also to be of noble birth and illustrate an athletic build. The figure in Metropolitan Kouros is known only by his body and shape. The identity of Metropolitan Kouros in not known as he is only known by his anatomy and age. The sculpture may have been created to show the ideal body type at the time. This would be similar to what is seen in later eras.
